HOW IT WORKS
Three steps to more independence
1. Build the task
Snap photos or film the real job site, or pull a ready-made task off the Task Library shelf. Every step is short, clear, and in plain language.
2. Hand over the keys
Learner Mode shows one step at a time, reads it aloud, and stays locked with your PIN so the learner can focus.
3. Watch the climb
See every step move from "someone helps" to "I do it myself," and share the growth with the family and the IEP team.

Questions about MyKey Steps
What is a task analysis?
A task analysis breaks a skill into small, teachable steps in order. MyKey Steps shows each step with a picture or short video so the learner can follow along on their own.
Who uses MyKey Steps?
Job coaches, DVR providers, vocational and transition programs, special education teachers, and families. The learner uses Learner Mode on their own phone or tablet.
Does my learner need to read?
No. Steps use photos, video, simple words, and a read-aloud button, so learners can follow along with or without reading.
What keeps the learner in Learner Mode?
Learner Mode is locked with the supporter's PIN, so the learner stays on their task and supporter tools stay private.
How is learner information protected?
We treat everything in MyKey Steps as sensitive by default. We never sell learner information or use it for advertising. It is encrypted in transit and at rest, only the support team you set up can see it, and Learner Mode is locked behind a PIN. When a school or agency uses MyKey Steps, student records stay under its control, as FERPA requires. Read the full privacy policy.
